    Did the Hotfix break something?
No framerate issues but I am having stutter in bits of content.

Only fix seems to be using the DX9 client which fixes issues but is lower on the FPS.

As I said I love this game but my god it has performance issues with DX11.

Well mine aren't exactly Frame rate issues, I just don't know how else to explain them. Screen kind of Freezes and no input is available then it shifts frame and happens again. kind of weird. Also only happens in Far East Regions, Doma/Kugane etc.

    Also already on DX9c

Hmmm. That's weird because my issues are in a specific trial/raid with DX11 on.

At this point I've just set my PS4 up to Ethernet and started playing on that.

There's nothing I can specifically pinpoint the issues to either.

So on the OF a lot of the time people say that DF runs are never as bad as we say. I needed to cap tomes last week and I still want my skalla tank gear so I ran it 3 times to cap here are my results.

    Run#1

Very good WHM, downright awful DPS. They weren't even that low ilvl (320 ish). 21 minute run.

    Run #2

Dear god. I almost died here. Imagine if the healer was a 0 DPS healer. I would have lost it. So much dead weight. 26+ minute run.

    Run #3

1 Good DPS (i330-340 SMN), 1 good SAM (i300-310) and a good healer. 16+ minute run.

Looking at the data, none of these were "good runs" in that every single person was geared and knew their jobs. In the 3rd run, I got good players, but the healer and the SAM were both very low (ilvl i300 weapons). I'll be curious to see how my next set of skalla runs goes.

    Bonus:

    My O6N run.

Almost took as long to kill as my savage clear...

    Yeah.

I'm a little baffled by their timing. At any rate, I don't predict that Balmung will remain open for very long - it's already consistently busy, even with a portion of players having left. So when the floodgates are opened a considerable number of people will likely go there simply because of the delusion that it's the 'place to be'. Already many in the RP community are discussing creating alts on other servers for the sake of transferring them over...and some of those who left regretted it and will be moving back.

For my part, I'm happy to stay away...I won't rule out a return in the future, if it's still open, but I still need to recover from my time there.

The Battle of Balmung Housing begins...

I won’t be moving back for a plethora of reasons:

    - I have over double the gil I could transfer over, even with retainers factored in
    - I own my own mansion now (which is worth more gil-wise than what I could transfer)
    - I’d have to convince all my friends that moved with me to actually pay to move to another server
    - Aforementioned friends all have houses here (and some the same gil issue as me)
    - I’m not an RPer, although that didn’t stop me from moving there after HW launch
    - Friends who may want to join me may not be able to in the (likely) event Balmung gets locked again

Just waaaay too much hassle, IMO. While not a RPer, I hope that the RPC continues to advocate Mateus for now until it borders on being congested, then go from there. Not looking forward to Aether eating dirt due to Balmung being on fire.

It's ACT using the Kagerou overlay.

Meh. Performance issues on PC are making me want to quit....

Apparently there is nothing I can do about it and after asking around Reddit, forums and whatnot it just seems that I've bought a CPU (fx6300) that has issues with FF14 on DX11. And hell even minor ones on 9.

Methinks until I get a new pc I'm just gonna have to play this on PS4 for now.

You'll have to tell me if you notice a population hit on your server when the transfers open up...

Honestly though I have two friends who want to play with me so I it's very good news!

Man, that sucks, I feel for you.
I had a VERY unstable system in the 2003 era, instability but no defects so I could not use any warranty to get parts replaced. Apparently I picked components that just didn't like each other. Had to live 3 years with constant crashes. >.<

The reason I'm a bit annoyed is because I remember the devs saying to us to get a 64 bit OS/use DX11 which leads me to believe that the DX9 client is gone next expansion.

I just don't understand if the CPU is the issue why it's this game only.

Seems very odd. Sadly I do not have experience with AMD systems, as I've stuck to Intel after the 2003 system.

The Goblet seems to be the least popular location on pretty much every server - even after the housing district received a revamp.

I'll be honest, though. I dislike Ul'dah in general - I feel like it received far too much focus compared to Limsa and Gridania.

    Piece of advice?
Avoid the low end / budget stuff and go into the higher end Tier. Just not highest end (like socket 2011 back in the day), b/c then you pay the RnD idiot tax.
