Finished Gargantia. It was alright as an action/adventure, like a 6.5/10. I did find it funny that I liked the AI more than any of the human characters. I also appreciated how Chamber remained utterly supreme relative to Earth technology. "Ewok moments," where natives with spears take down AT-STs, are pretty cringe-worthy in my book. Although this did kind of hint at the end: the only way to challenge Ledo/Chamber was to reintroduce the Galactic Alliance in some fashion so there'd be some tension.

p.s. Mollusks do not form sessile polyps during development. Perhaps they confused them with Cnidarians?

Just finished Sora No Woto. Honestly, it has a few faults. The series really starts off slow, and honestly felt like it didn't know what it wanted to be.

The last few episodes are pretty good though, especially the last one. The concept and setting was really unique, and the world itself was quite amazing. The ending with the Takemikazuch and the retelling of the angel story, and Kanata's trumpet playing was really good, though slightly cliche. I mean I sorta feel the series could have been better. I realize the first few episodes are to set the scene and introduce the characters, but they really were slow as hell, and really boring. And by "boring" I mean that they weren't very funny, had little to no drama, and just felt really bland. The only reason I stuck through it was because of the setting, and I'm glad I did.

Probably would have given it a 6/10, but the ending boosted it up to a 7/10. I do have to say that the first bonus episode (episode 7.5) where they have a mock battle and get drunk was absolutely hilarious, and I was smiling the entire time. Honestly haven't laughed so hard at an episode of an anime like that in a while.

The World God Only Knows Ep 1 - What was the deal with the recap in the beginning? It showed a bunch of girls that weren't in the previous seasons that I've never seen before. And when he was talking to Tenri about goddesses, an image of all the previous girls appeared and a bunch weren't ones that had been in the show. I'd of liked to see the arc for the older woman and scientist character it showed in the recap. That aside, it was an amazing first episode. I absolutely love how they implemented the idea of the goddesses. Makes for a far more enjoyable show, rather than just another season of the same thing. I definitely think this will be in my top 3 shows for the season.

Yeah, I might have to check it out. From what it showed in the recap the scientist girl looked like it would of been an interesting arc. That and the older woman just because its so much different from all the previous girls in the show.

Okay....so.....question for people who have watched far more anime than me:

I was messing around with Akinator, a website that plays 20 questions with you to see if it can figure out who (or what) you're thinking of. I had chosen an obscure anime character that it wasn't getting to easily, and question 52 was (you can choose to do several rounds if it doesn't get it the first time):

"Is your character a godly ninja samurai porn star?"

Now, is there seriously an anime character our there like that? Because that's simultaneously hilarious and disturbing at the same time.

Quite late on this and I haven't completely caught up with everything from last season, but I think this is my final top 5(6) ranking of shows for last season. Titan probably would of been ranked higher, but I'm not much of a fan of the majority of the characters and everything in the show is always so melodramatic and over the top.

And damn, now that I typed them all out that's a lot to catch up on lol.

Not really spoil anything, but there really wasn't an arc for the scientist girl, it kind of just happened in the middle of another conquest, and I think they skipped right to Goddess Saga is because that's where shit gets real, hence why in the OP, a lyric says "It's not a game anymore" If they started where they left off last season, all those conquest could easily take an entire season by itself.

I'm just a little concerned because people who're watching the third season for the first time or people who never read the manga will probably be really confused.

Honestly, their attempt at trying to make it not confusing, IS what made it confusing lol. I'd of been perfectly fine with the transition into the goddess arc, but when I saw the recap showing girls I'd never seen before, it threw me off. If they'd left out the recap and just continued on I'd of been cool with that and been none the wiser, assuming that the plot was just naturally progressing.

also i am pretty sure between goddes arc and season 2 was the introduction of vintage ... i can faintly remember something with an older girl but that was so long ago ;X (thats where i think vintage was seen first not with stabbing kanon )
so in the end i must say i would have prefered if they had just started where season 2 left off and i wouldnt mind a 4 cour for this lol ;x (not that it lacks material for it)

Yeah, if you read the manga it would not be confusing at all, but then you'd be kind of mad because they skipped over so many great stories and girls to get to the real meat of the plot. At least I am, anyway.
