Happy it's finally coming to PC. I'll buy it around launch if it's shit-hot, but I'm happy to wait until sales if it ends up being "just alright".

Was hoping this would finally come to PC, glad the rumors can now be put to bed.

I read that there will be a gameplay reveal stream in May. Why wouldn't they open up pre-orders? There is literally no reason not too.

Sure it's a plus for them, but for us, buying a product blindly.

The loading times is one of the big reasons why I want to go PC. Unfortunately I will likely still pick up on PS4 due to friends being there. Ill make the jump later to PC if I can get more people to switch over.

I think this will do insane numbers on PC, given the absolute non-existence of FPS mmos. Blizz coulda been first. Interesting times indeed.

Don't forget the "blizzard" in "Activision-Blizzard". Even if they work separately, there is no need to fight on the same market.

That said I have no doubt Blizzard could do so much better than the nice garbage that was the first Destiny.

The D1 contract expires this year so that stuff should only now be making it to xbox just as the playerbase will nosedive as everyone heads to the sequel.

Which still makes me wonder how pc players start off, i mean i guess its like eowen showing up mid LOTR and still being an important character but missing out on all the neat hive and siva stuff is a shame.

Pretty sure i've read in the press release for Destiny 2 that ps4 will have timed exclusives like D1. Might be imagining things though.

It will but different contracts for different titles. Must just suck to get the strikes and maps on xbox knowing the game is on borrowed time since the userbase will become a ghost town when D2 comes out.

Take the halo game where you had things like double jump and armor bubble abilities and add in a far more mechanically restricted diablo 3 loot system. Thats destiny. Its halo but you grind out gear to bump up numbers. Go onto a series of 5 or 6 levels with mild open world multiplayer elements, find 'engrams' you bring back to your harodric cube equivalent to get a random item and either equip it, use its stats to increase the stats of something you already own or scrap it. With strikes being 'dungeons' that serve as traditional linear looter shooter levels you can repeat, again to farm weapons and armour.

Of sorts, yes. They said they want to expand on the planets and make them more RPG feeling. Which to me means, less fast travel to the tower.

Btw, i totally called it. It is somewhere in this thread, but I totally predicted that the Cabal would be coming with their actual military (rather than the scouts we have seen so far) and would wipe everyone out. Which is how I resolved the idea of everyone losing their characters. That they died in the grand battle vs the main forces of the Cabal invasion.

You can look back through the thread to find it if you don't believe me.

I imagine you will be a rookie looking for your 'missing but not dead' player character from D1 if you have one. Probably picking up cosmetics as you follow their path based on stuff you did in D1 with no power attatched.

hmmm since D2 will be on PC and you can carry over some of your D1 progress or achieves i guess... i wonder if that will go cross platform. Granted i may stick to Xbox one on this... hmm..

I am glad we finally have a fight vs the Cabal. I hope there is some weapon to help deal with the shield dudes like the shield piercing one from Crota.

1. Highly doubt it. They'd be shooting themselves in the foot if they got rid of fast travel to the "base of operations". And it won't be the Tower, at least not at first I'm sure.....we've been completely pushed out of the Last City at the beginning of Destiny 2.

2. You mean the information we've ALL KNOWN FOR MONTHS? Because of the leaks that happened months ago and were posted to the Destiny subreddit. Yeah, you aren't special bub. You didn't call anything that anyone with half a shred of Destiny knowledge didn't already know.

Unless Destiny 2 improves on the core issues I had with Destiny 1 ill be giving it a pass. Will be watching and see what they release.

Still quite burned over the fact we paided for proven cut content as DLC.

I really dig parts of the Destiny Lore, Just hope they are in the game this time.

Come on now, Jtbrig. We all know you're going to get this game :P. You invested way to much in the first one to not get this one. And your track record shows that you'll get it anyway .
